Hgnicepathia and Allopativia.
The Poughkeepsie Telegraph says that these
two systems of Mcdicina—HorMapathic against
the old practice—have been tested in the Aubern
prison, and according to E. Humphreya Into
physician to the prison, the former has taken the
palm.' Under the Homeopathic treatment fOr 7
months not- ti single death. occurred, and the a.
mount expended for medicine was $7l 62. Un
der the Allopathic, or present treatment for four,
months, 7 persons died, and $283 52 were ex:

Another Atrocious !Murder.
A Mort shocking murder was recently perk-
bated, on the body of Mrs. Melinda Horn, wife
of Adam Horn residing 22 miles from' Balti
more, on the Hanover road, near • the filtio Bell
tavern. The unfortunate victim, it appears, had
mysteriously disappeared from'her home about
four weeks since, and no intelligence could be had
of her. The anxiety and auspiebm of the, neigh
bore becoming excited, they determined to insti
tute search for her, and on Mond. afternoon
succeeded

and that the States have no right .to interfere

Insurance and Trust Company, of the city of
