And in and by the 9th section isf the first mentioned
act of Assembly passed tile 2d of. July 1899, it is di
rected:that, "1:/ke qualified citizens of the several•
wards, districts and townships,ilhallineet - on - the Fri
day next preceding the second Tuesclay.in October
next at the several places now prescribed by law for
holding the ward, ilistrict and township elections,
and each °lasid qualified citizens shall vote by bal
lot for-one person as Judge, and • also for one person
as' Inspector of election, and the person having the
greatest number of votes fer judge shall be publicly
declared to be the judge Of elections, and the two
persons . having the greatest number of votes for in
appetor shall be publiclrdeclared to - be "inspectors of
election. But when any township has been or shall
be divided in forming an electien district,
judges-and
inspectors Of the election shall be chosen in the Man
ner prescribed in the seventh section of this act."
And by the 7th section of the Same act it . is direct
ed that, "Where any township has been, or shall be,
divided in forming . an election district, the qualified,
citizens of each part of such divided ,township, shall
severally elect , in the manner and at the' time and
place aforesaid, two inspectors for each of said seve- '
rat election districts, and shall - also;eleet - one Person
'to serve as judge of the elections in each district, to
-perform t the-duties-enjoined-by-the,sixth- seetimrof
this act. . •
