the age of twenty-one and twenty two years,
who have resided in lite eleciion district
aforesaid, shall be entitled to vote, although

claiming to vote is not found on the list fur
nished by the Commissioners and Assessois,

not is objected to by any qualified citizen, it
shall be the duty of the lnpector to examine
such person on oath as to his qualifications,
and if lie claims to have resided in the stale
for one year or more, his oath shall be suffi
cient proof thereof, but he shall make proof
by, at least one competent witness v. ho hall
be a qualified elerthr. that he has resided
within the district for more than ten da)s next
proceeding said election, nnd shall himself
swear that his bona-fide residence, in puisu-
ai.ee of his lawful calling, is within the said

"If any person shall prevent or attempt to

or. shall block up the window or .avenue to
any, 'window where the same may be holding,

prevent him from voting, or to restrain the
freedom of choice, such person, on conviction
shall be fined in any sum nol exceeding five
hundred doliats, and be imprisonad any time
not less than ihtee nor more than twelve
months ; and if it shall be shown to court,
where the trial ot sn h offence shall be had,
tint ihe person so offending was not a resi
dent of the city, ward, district or township
where the offence was committed, and not en
titled, to vote therein, then on conviction, he
shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less
than one hundred nor more than one thous
