whatever. They are entirely composed of ex
tracts from rare and powerful plants, the virtues
of which, though long known to several Indian
tribes, and recently to some eminent pharmaceu
tical chemists, are altogether unknown to the.,
ignorant pretenders to medical science ; and were
never before administered in so happily efficacious
a combination. . .
The first operation is to loosen from the coats
of the stomach and bowels the various impun-;
ties and crudities constantly settling round them ;
and to remove the hardened forces which collect
in the convolutions of the small intestines. Other
medicines only partially cleanse these, and leave i
such collected masses behind to produce, habitual
Costiveness, with all its train of evils, or sudden
