in a Charleston paper, I happened to notice the
location of vour office, and thought you might ex
tract an article of some value in regard to your
medicine, therefore I sent the paper
The following is an extract from the letter re
ferred to above:

Thus it appears that the brave and patriotic Vol
unteers who have gone to Mexico, to defend the
rights and honor of their country, already begin to
realize the extraordinary value of this incompara
ble medicine. Long life to them !
HORRIBLE MISTAKES ! !
Are sometimes made by confounding one medi
cine with another, and administering the wrong ar
ticle. Equally horrible are those mistakes which
are made in supposing that all Pills are alike, and
that therefore, it isindiffereut wliich are taken, and
if one kind is bad all are bad together. This is a
very great mistake.. There is as much difference
between Wrights Indian Veaetablc Pills and oth
er articles, as between midnight and noonday !
We do not wish a,ny to take our word for this state
ment. Let any one, having other -medicines, try

Many persons have been led away by a coating
of Sugar, as if they anticipated that it would re
move the nausea of the medicine. But they are
generally mistaken. Without the suar those ar
ticle have nothing to recommend them, and would

Indian Vegetable Pills, they gain a temporary no

ges, purifies, and strengthens ihe system.
Dlt. LE ROyS Pilis are a new medicine
which has just appeared, and is fast taking
the places of all others of the same class. These
pills are composed. of many ingredients, but the
two principal ones are Sarsaparilla and Wild Cher
ry, so united that they act together ; the one, through
its admixture with other substances, purifying and
! purging, while the othor is strengthening the sys
j tern. Thus those pills are at the same time tonic
ana opening; a desideratum long and eagerly
sought for by medicinal men, but never before dis
covered. In other words they do the work of the
two medicines, and do it much better than any
two we know of; for they remove nothing from the
systefn but the impurities; so that while they purge
they strengthen : and hence they cause no debili
tation; and are followed by no re-action. Dr. Le
Roy's Pills have a wonderful irfluence on the
blood ; they not only purify without weakening it,
but they remove all noxious particles from the
chyle before it is converted into fluid, and thus
makes impure blood an utter impossibility. As
there is no debilitation, so there is no nausea
or sickness attending the opperations of this most
excellent of medicines, which never strains or
tortures the digestive functions, but causes them
to work iu a perfectly natural manner; and hence
persons taking them do not become pale and
emaciated, but the contrary ; for while it is the
property of the Sarsaparilla, united as it. fs with
other ingredients, to remove all that is foreign amf
impure, it is equally the property of the Wild Cher
to retain all that is natural and sound ; and hence
a robost state of health is the certain result of their

Consumption of the Lungs.
Mr. Comfort, 35 White street, wjfs so low in
the month of December last, that he was given up
by his phvsician. His friends entertained no hope
of his recovery. He was persuaded to try the
Olosaonian, and to his surprise it has so far re
stored him to health that he is now uble to walk
about the streets.

vere cough, and rais'ed quantities of blood, was

clares it the greatest remedy in the world.
Dennis Kelly, 26 Water street, was also relieved
from the same complaint, although he was very
much reduced when he commenced taking it, hav.
ing been under the caie of his physician during
the past winter. Although he coughed constantly
and was very much troubled with night sweats,
two bottles of the remedy enabled him to return
to his daily work. He was entirely relieved.
David Henderson, 60 Laight street, George W.
Burnett, formerly of Newark, N. J., Henry Lis
bon, 199 Rivingston street, and numerous other
persons have been speedily and permanently cured,
of the same complaint by this remedy.
