The Board of Revision", composed of the County .Commissioners and Associate Judges of
Monroe county, will meet at the Commissioners Office in the Borough of Stroudsburg, on Mon
day the 22d day of May, for finally determining whether any of the valuation of the assessors
have been made below a just rate according to the meaning and intention of the Act of Assem

NOTICE.
A Petition for the Benefit of the Bankrupt
Law, has been filed the 22d February 1843, by
Joseph Addison Brown, late Merchant, late
of the firm of Stokes & Brown, now Farmer,
Monroe.
Which Petition will be heard before the Dis
trict Court of the United Slates for the Eastern
District of Pennsylvania, sitting in Bankrupt
cy, at the District Court room in the City of
Philadelphia, on Friday the 26th- day of May
next, at 11 o'clock, a. m. when and where all
persons interested may appear and show cause,
if any they have, why the prayer of the said
Petition should not be granted, and the said
Petitioner declared Bankrupt.
