Hirg and vicinity, that they have commenced
the above business in Elizabeth street, at the
shop formerly occupied by Charles Smith, deed,
where they will be happy to receive orders for
all kinds of work-in the Tailoring Line; and
where they wpl devote their best efforts lo
the accommodation of their patrons. With an
experience in the badness of no inconsiderable
length a determination to adhere strictly to
their promises -and a resolution never to make
unreasonable charges, they flatter themselves
that they will receive a fair proportion of the
custom of thei neighborhood.

be issued in nmnly numbers, devoted exclusively
to the improvement of Sacred Music, entitled
edited by f. grant nouton.
(UThe work will b& printed in octavo form,
each number containg sixteen pages, on good white
paper, with music type cast expressly for this pur
pose, and will be furnished to. subscribers at the
low price of ONE DOLLAR per annum. Four
of the sixteen pages in each' number, will be oc
cupied with the illustration of the Rudiments of
Music, of which a progressive system has been
prepared by the Editor, extending from the sim
plest rules of reading to the more difficult and
complicated laws of harmony a'nd counterpoint.
The remaining twelve pages will consist of psalm
and hymn tunes, anthems, set pieces, chants, &c.,
most of which will be found entirely new.
