The farmers are nearly all out of hay, and their cattle in i starving condition. Troy Whig. Mind whom you kick. Mr. Stratton, a Con stable of Boston, is under bonds of $100, to ap pear at the Municipal Court, for kicking the wife of a prisoner whom he was taking to the watch house! The kicked woman had come to hrino- her husband his hat, and received that 0 . unmanly saluto for her pains. A Proposition worth Considering. To induco persons to act as agents for pro- curin subscribers to tne ivifle we suomit tne following proposition. For $35 we will send one hundred copies to not more than ten addresses. For S15 forty copies to not more than four. For $5 twelve copies to one address. This will afford over twenty-five per cent to agents for their trouble and as every one can procure one hundred or more subscribers, in their own neighborhood, he will be doing a fair business in these hard times. And one to make it a business for a month could procure two or three thousand at least, as no body wilL refuse to pay ffty cents for a paper for six months during so exciting a campaign as the approaching one will undoubtedly be. By some unaccountable error, it is stated in our prospectus that we will send fifty copies to one address for $15 it should hare been forty. The first would not pay the expenses with ten thousand subscribers. Address. H. MONTGOMERY, Harrisburg, Pa. DIED, In Milford, on Saturday the 1st instant, after a protracted illness, Doct. George F.
