Kirby Was turning down the wick in a .lighted lamp that hung in the dining room of her, residence, on Chestnut street, the lamp ex ploded throwing the glass in all directions, one piece striking the iady on the arm and cutting quite a gash. - The oil from the lamp ran into'an iron boZvl which supported it and burned up.
