of teaching Geograpy. Mr. Griffis, teacher of
the Hart - ord' Graded School, followed' byn, few
remarks up'on the sabject of map drawing:—

say on the impoitant subject of "Ventilation"
which provided some new ideas for considera
tion. The subject of History was touched up
on and after a - shoit discussion closed with a
few remarks by Mr.. Tilden John Rockwell
of the-Soldiers' Orphan Sehodl, read an essay,
"OhedienCe in childhood'rieo..ssary to the 'mak
ing off' good . citizens." Music. Adjourned till
9 a in. on Saturday.
On Friday evening Mr. Tilden gave ,a very
interesting lectuie' to a large audienee in the
M. E. church ; at its ciose a vote of ,thanks, as
a tokenpfiappreciation, was tendeied him.

this place last June. She had walked among

studies, to the: quiet and rest of home, she in•
