There seems to be aldisposition on the
part of the , Montrose Republican, in
common with most other Radical papers
to "fight be war over again" this fall.
This, is unfortunate for its, pet candidate
for the State Senate, George G. Waller
Esq., who stumped this - county for "Me
,Clellan and - Peace'' in, 1864. If• there,
ever was any foree or truth in the charge
that "he.McClellan platform pronounced
"the war a failnre," Mr. Waller cannot
hirk the responsibility of.lhe utterance.
for he' deserted his own party in the midst
of the -str \ uggk, and allied himself openly
aid canspirlbously with the authors and
endbrsers of that creed. So, we repeat,
if the war isto.be fought over again, Mr.
Waller is in4ifeStly on the wrong'horse.=
