At the Races.

Friday night, about half an hour before mid
night, a very respectable Detroiter living on
Duffield street Vas heard feeling all over the
front door to find the ki4n. His wife sudden
ly pulled , the door open, confronted him, and,
in a file-like voice inquied : • -

family living on Henry street called ,at a Wood
ward avenue grocery and asked fore prnnes.—
