Mr. J. II. McAlister, died at his
home in thi town last Friday, about
10 o'clock A. 31., after a Ion; illness,
aged 72 years. He wan a native of
Juniata county, where his fathet and
grandfather lived all their days. In
early life he became a member of tbe
Prasbyterian church and lived a con
sistent Christian life to his last hour
on earth. He was a food oitiz.m
straight-forward mm without guile,
who acted from tbe high moral plain
of moral responsibility to man and
fr.xl for all his words and deeds.

which he was an elder on Mjudav.
