day.
The Y'a were especially happy in
having with them their Y. Mother
Mra. W. B. Khode. having a heart
large aud tender enough to take them
all in as she proved to them before
the meeting was over.
Our faithful Superintendent of
Evangelistic work was ready to opfn
the meeting in her happy war with
a responsive temeranco exercise.
Thtn followed the address of
Weld -me by Mrs. Effie Parker. Vory
cordial it vfasand proved its sincerity
by what followed in the way of en
tertainment. Thj resjHiuso by Miss tiilson
beautifully expressed just what we
all wauled U say. Thru came a
summarry of the year's work by our
loved President, which with the fad
iirrn and the unpleasant and disagree
able things left out. made us all feel
very coiafortubltt ; und with her
charactestie love and charity gave
us all more credit than we deserve.

with Treasurers report.

Heredity and Hygiene, was read by
Miss (iiLn giving some very useful
information, which allought to know.
The report of the Cor. Sec. was
iuterestiug throughout, concluding
with a letter fr.m Misj Havs to the
W. C. T. U s of Juniata "(Jo. The
most interesting item of this letter
was au account given of the W. C.
T. U's, Miss Hayes found in Tokio,
stated that she had l.wked through
her tears at the White Rihlon worn
bv those native Japaneso women. A
Magaziue of tliis Union also came
with the letter in the native language
and it was passed through the
audience and seamed with much
interest.
The lo jvorts of delegates gave en
couragement from some points in
other sections the work does not
advance tts it should, and iu some
parts of the Co., there is need of

then took place which it is just
js.ssible the "brethren" might not
have thought strictly methodical or
business like, but it resulted iu the

Kentucky lawyer. He hails from
Cviugt-iii. He struck Philadelphia
early on a recent Monday morning.
He was on his way to New York to
do honor to the memory of tbe

Cleveland disappeared! aud a three
headed tramp all under one high
cvllar glared at hint. Mr. Bogawd

face with the counterpane.
When he looked ui again two
elephants, a camel and a rhinocerous
were dancing in front of him. Then
Mr. Begawd gave a wild shriek ami
fled down ttairs, which ho covered in
three cajs, to the hotel office.
