Within the past eighteen months we have
been called upon to mention the fact of tbe
siealing of young csttle from the barn-yards
of Everhart t Bro., and Henry Ficks, of
which no trace could ever be lound. Again
a valuable young Jersey heifer, belonging
to Mr. Abram Hurting, who lives at tbe east
end ot the Newport river bridge was taken
from the premises, on Tuesday nigbt of last
week, all trace of her has been lost. It is
Mr. Hortiog's opinion that the animal was
driven away and slaughtered by some vil
lianous butcher. The animal was very taine,
could be approched by anvbody, and it waa
a very easy matter to place a rope about her
neck and lead her away. Mr. Uorting is
very angry about the loss of bis pet. and will
make it warm lor tba person who stole her,
and it Lis convictions are realized, the one
w ho slaughtered her will certainly have a free
ride at tno county 'a expense to Philadelphia.

the fact that the primary campaign work is

Soil tests are reliable tests to de

An analysis is only an intelligent
suggestion, but actual trial by the

a fertilizer will give good crops
or not. For six years our $25

field tests. The best results have
been obtained by intelligent farm
