The Huntingdon (Jlobe, of the 8th inst.,

Kennedy J. My tan, of Petersburg, Hunt
ingdon county, relates the following rem irk
ab!e yet true trory : About the fiiat of Oc
tolrr h st his flock of lings, 37 in number,
toot the h"g cholera, and on the 24th J iv
of November they were all dead but one
nice ft hof; that would weigh about 2i0
pounds. This hog he determined to shoot as
it sljoaei symptoms of get'ing the disease,
and would not eat anything. On Monday, tbe
2ftb of Novemb?r, he became so butily en
paged in threshing wheat that be did not
kill the bog. It laid down where the straw
was being thrown o'lt and during the five
days of ihreshiag the straw was piled upon
the hog the men not knowing it waa there.
Nothing was aain seen of the hog nntil
Tuesday, the 33th day of December, when
it came out from under the atiaw pile as
lively as a cricket, but slim as a rail and
with scarcely any hair on ll ia now sound
and wall, and eata greedily. The hog had
been thirty-live daya without food or water,
and so astonished was Mr. Myto when he
