Mrs. Mary S. Lane, of Bloomfleld waa
killed while attempting to cross the railroad
in front of a train of cars at Newport last
week. She waa killed by the bumper of
the locomotive. Her body was knocked
away from the track and did not get under
the wheels of the cars. Her age was about
85 years. She wsa tbe widow of the late
Rev. P. P. Lane, some yean ago pastor of

inaugural address, which was followed by

Prof. De Graff, each delivered addresses.
Lawyer Beidler opened the questiou,
