A F0RM2B CoDgrr sa did great wrong by the coinage of the trade dollar without Burrounding it with the pro feciion that it gives to the one dollar legal tender silver coin, but the pres ent Congress proposes to remove the stigma to the extent of its power by providing for the redemption of the trade dollar at par. Thi reason that the British gov ernment is so greatly talen np with SouJa.i country is fojed m the .'act that Eugiiah commercial people or t radars do buniuesa with the country every year to the amount of about 65,000,000 dollars, besides furnishing snng places or offices for a large number of British office seekers. Th damage done by the ice flood, last week, east of the mountains, was iriSirjf when compared to the dam age done along streams west of the mountains. There is one rem edy for snch troubles and that is to move the towns to higher ground. The false prphet of the Soudan has gained another victory over the British army operating in Egypt, and now people are beginning to wonder whether history is to repeat itself by the Asiatics and Africans driving out European forces, as was done when the Mahomedan people came into power and drove out Christian be lievers from the land in which Christ ianity was born and flourished vigor ously for a nnmber of centuries.
