on the evenings of March 12th and 13tl,
a committee was appointed to draft
resolutions exptesaiva of the Lodge
relative to the death of Bros. Ephraiia
Robison and Noah . Kirk, and re
spectfully submit tbe following :
Whereas, It has pleased Almighty
God, the seaicher of all hearts, by a
wise dispensation of bis providence, to
call from our midst aur well-beloved
brothers, Kpbraim Bubison and Noah
E. Kirk, thus sadly and impressively
admonishing us that in the midst of
life we are in death, therefore
; Resolved, That iu the death of Bio
ihers Hobison and Kirk our Lodge bas

integrity won for them the respect and

monwealth, shall be recorded iu the
ofSce for Recording Deeds, iu tbe coun
ty where the lauds lie, within six
months aftet the execution of such
deeds and conveyances ; and every such
deed and conveyance not recorded as
aforesaid, shall be adjudged fraudulent
and void agaimt any subsequent pur
chase fot a valuablo consideration, uu
less such deeds bo recorded before the
recording of the deed or conveyauce
under which such subsequent purchaser
or mortgage shall claim. Ex.
TnE skeleton remains of two human
bodies, about two feet below the sur
face of the ground, were dug out yes
terday in excavating fur the foundation
of the new Court House. They lay
horizontally east aud west, as civilized
people arc luiu hi the ground, and about
eight feet apart." Who they were, and
when they were buried, no one knows.
The skull bones Were almost entirely
decayed. ' The bones of the bodies were
perforated aud full of holes, and almost
ready to fall to pieces. The remains
were tound outride of the foundation
walls of the old CoSrt House.
