Learn the address of the Deputy for jour couuty. and eend to him for a copy of the Constitution, which is furnished free. If vou do uot know the address of the Deputy, send cither to the Secretary or the Mister of the state Grange. Second Step. Third Step Having received the papers, read theta carefully ; and un derstand that none of the requirements laid down can be varied from. Also, particularly bear iu mind that not lee. thsu uine men and four women are ne cessary to organisation ; but that it is better for the Grange to bave the full number 20 men and 10 women. Then secure the number required as soon as possible, taking care to receive tie names of good men and women. With an organization numbering nearly two million of our best people, it will not do now to take any all who offer ll em selves for the sake, of having a subor dinate Grange organized two or three days sooner than it otherwise would be. Fourth Step. Having obtained the necessary number, send the list on to the Deputy, stating the time you have agreed upon to meet and await his ar rival ; also, the best route fur him to take to reach tthe place of meeting, if any from a railroad. If the Deputy, jou account f pieviuus ODg.igouieuts, 1 cannot meet with you at the time fixed, it is his duty to so inform you at once, and to name a timo that will best suit. Filth Step. While awaiting the ar rival of the Deputy, a preliminary meeting might be had to fix upon time aud place of reg'ihr meeting, and to agree upon a name for the Orange. There should ger.iTa'Iy be a first and second choice of came, as the first choice may be the name of some Grange already organized. There should be no election of (jfucors until after orjan- , ... ., . r ..., ization by the Deputy, for tho reasin ll"-t SOI"a of ,ue w termed bubord.nate ' Cicers have very iuiporiant duiies to discharge, which are made knorrn only after organization. Sixth Step. Evpry perJoa whose name is enrolled ought to be present a! the time fixed for erganisition. If called upon, the Deputy can give nine of the leading objects of the organiza tion as an introductory (1) the social aud educational ; (2) benevolent; Z economical (4 1 friendly intercourse and discussion ; (5) the ca?h system : iitiaa gatiou ; (9i ami monopoly, auti-cx tortion aud auti corruption.
