About two weeks ago a stranger who gave bis name as Jacob Breueman, call ed several times upon tbe agent of Ad ams Express Co., at Mattawana, in this county, and inquired whether a pack age of money bad arrived addressed to him, and on U ivg informed that it bad not, appeared to be very much disap pointed, and thereupon sent a telegram to Mr. W. C. Murray, at Elizabeth town, Laocaster county, which in a day or two brought tbe looked-for money, $500. Upon call the package was de livered to him, the agent of course sas pecting nothing of foul play. She was ouly abott 20 years of age, and Lad been married but about year. She was an estimable woman, and her rash act is deplored by a wide circle of friends and relatives. Sheriff Muthersbaugh last week brought here a man named Jos. George, from near Ashland, Ohio, on a requisi tion from the Govei nor, charged with having stolen about $100 from Mr. Weiser, residing above lielleville. Philip Keel, of Allen's Cove, Penn township, this county, caught a she-wolf in bis fox-trap on Tuesday night of lat week.
