Jcseph Elohenlaub, Jr., dealer in boots and

selling them at reduced prices. We know
from personal experience that his stock is

"the Wednesday evening previous to our
late municipal election, a handbill was posted
about the city reflecting, in grossly libelous
terms-open Mr, Scott, the peoples' candidate

that citizens of every political faith united in
condemning it, and of the trio who- 'vent
instrumental in its authorship,' but one was
willing to acknowledge that he had a hand in
its authorship,. We are gratified to learn that
since Mr. Scott's triumph, even he has re

'The editor of the Corry Telegraph, in an
article designed to be "withering" upon the
Erie editors, -makes the charge that they are
all under the control of "one man." The
old saying ',Go abread for news." is veriled
by this astute announcement. We have been
connected with this office as editor and pro,
prietoenow over four years, and never before
were, aware thatreny individual owned an in—

wheajo, the light suddenly breaks in upon
us, through the medium of the effulgent Corry

actions. Really, it is, surprising hoW much`
one learns in the coarse of a life time. When
