Thomas Clohesy, .a jorurneynuta• trunk
maker, residing at No. 2b Pearl street, re

are using corn for fuel. Corn costs ten cents
per bushel, and seventy bushels make a cord;

cord of wood with the sawing of it costs

corn crop is beyond the demand. It would

The Charleston South Carolinian says that
the negroes of that city, with their arms, are
