It is a State in stitution—founded, supported and conducted on purpose to train Teachers in all that per tains to, the instruction and discipline of the children of. our Schools. We' have not yet done much to help to sustain it, nor have we received much benefit from it.. The fault is our own'. Each Board' of Directors is the County has the privilege of sending one pupil to,this School. . This privilege the law gives you, in• addition to which, the Principal of the School offers free tuition, as a prize, to the beet Teacher in the District. It seems to the these inducements ought to stimulate us to make an effort in this direction. Without better Teachers, we cannot, hope to have bet ter Schools. Our Teachers must have more culture and more training,- The leading agency to be relied upon to improve the Teacher must be found in our ""Normal School" and in the , kfliatrici Inalassie." They hay, not ?calved that attention which their importance demands. It is impossible to es timate the real value of such agencies.
