should return. lie has now returned
and the ore having been tested, and prov
ing to be as rich as that of the best ai'iic-s
in that State, the Company, at its last
meeting iu Philadelphia, concluded not
to sell Stock,but to issue bonds with cou
pons attached bearing ten per cent intcr
■cst, payable in coin. The bonds arc re
deemable in five years from date, and
may, within that time at the option ot
the holder, be converted into Stock If
those persons who desired to take ttock,
■wish to have bonds, they can signify

THE Boar J of Supervisors appoints by the above
Corporation to carry out the objects of the act of
Incorporation, respectfully announce to the public that
the Legislature of Pennsylvania hu authorised the rais
ing of funds fos the erection, establishment, and main' j
tenances of an Asylum for Invalid Soldiers of the late
war, to be built on the Battlefield of Gettysburg, and
as an inducement to patriotic citisens to contribute to
this benevolent object, ha*e empowered the Corpora
tion to distribute amongst the subscribers «uch articles
of value and interest, from association with the late
war, or anv moneys, effects, property, or estate, real
or personal, whatever, in this Mate or elsewheie, at
such times or upon such terms, and in such way and
m-inner whatsoever, as to them shall seem fit, any laws
ol this Commonwealth to the contrary notwithstanding
