gress, lion. Thadeus Stevens made a
speech on the re-construction question,
. which has been receiving the unqualified
curses of all southern rebels and northern
copperheads, and also has met with ob
jections and encountered criticisms from
the conservative element in the Republi
can ranks. For the purpose, therefore,
of lettiiig our readers see just what Ste
vens does «»y. we have produced his
speech in full in to-days paper. VVe
would bespeak for it a careful reading.
