EXIIIBITION.—The Scholars belong
ing to Wynkoop's Graded School, in this
ton's, gave exhibitions on Thursday and
Pritkor evening last, to crowded houses.
The scholars showed considerable industry
an4l study in their exercises. They had
their loieedlc, well committed, and spoke
them with grealtstlastacts and ease.—
Severs' of the students attracted unusual
attention and comment ; but as all perkrm
ed their several parts so well, we will not
me special mention of any. The scholars
did great credit both to themselves and
teachers. We have rarely, if ever, witness
ed euch proficiency in young scholars aq wa:s
displayed in this school exhibition. This is
one of the finest and best romdneted schools.

15 IN consequence of the recent Act of
Assembly directing the removal of the re
mains of deceased persons from a portion of
the Episcopal buriel grounds in this place,
several bodies have been disinterred, and
deposited in the more permanent cemeteries
of the county. This mournful duty of
renmval is necessary in consequence of the
laudable determination to erect a new and
more spacious church edifice on the grounds
of the society. The flourishing condition of
the Episeopal church at this place is the
best evidence of its truly Evangelical char.
actor. It began as a missionary station, It
progressed to the point of a most respeeta
ble permanent establishment; and its influ
ence for good is unexcelled in wage:lade by
that of any religious association in our re.
gine. The commodious edifice which is
sheet to be erected, will be a witness of the
poi. done in the past, and an earnest of
that which will yet ho secoutplished.
