The entire vote fur member of Congress
in the district sums up as follun-s :
Berret (Democrat) 7,200
Blair (K -publican) C,452
Breckinridge (American) 5,115
The election of Berret was secured, be.
yond doubt, by the grossest frauds. The
Democrat says: "A canvass of all the
poll-books shows the enormous total of
18,773, as against 13,701 iu 13jj. It .
n .hrd Mr. Blair has increased upon
T0,e graJuallv at ever, poll, receiving

tion prevailed heretofore. It thus demon-
j etrates a natural increase on bis ticket of
500 votes. Mr. Breckinridge also polls a

other hand, Mr. Berret finds his support
in just those localities where hia party
