The body of a man was discovered lying
in the river, on the upper side of Buyers'
Inland, about 1 1 miles below Sunbury cn
Saturday week, by some boys who were
fishing along shore. He was probably
fim "21 to 25 years of ago, and had dark j
hair. lie bad on when found, pants, a
silk velvet vest, wilh the name cf "R. K. ,
Wells, Kq ," written on the lining in the
back of the vest, a pair of low shoes, and
7t cents in money in bis pockets. By his
' appearance he must have been in the water
; some 3 or 4 weeks. An inquest was held ;
i over him by Coroner S B. Boycr, of Sun-!
bury. !
James Piiffenbacb, whose appointment
we noticed some timo ago as Supervisor of
the Susquehanna Division, by tbe Sun
bury k Krie Railroad Company, in place
of Wm. Elliot, took charge of tho work
on Saturday week.
