is determined by a majority of the qualified
voters hi Union countr (as divided) at the gen
eral election to be-held on the S.I Tuesday of
October next (IS5o) to locate the seat of j is
tiee in the borough of Lewisburg. in aid coun
ty of L'nion, cause suitable grounds to be pro
cured and suitable buildings and jail to be
reeled thereon, and to be finished, and afier
being approved bv a majority of the court and
gran 1 jurors.conveyed in fee simple to the prop
er authorities of said county of L'nion (so divi
ded) as aforesaid on or before the first day if
January, A D 1657, without any cost or tax
whatever being imposed upon the taXabtes of

the ability ol the persons named in the wttntn
subscription, to pray the sums subscribed by
them respectively aud being satisfied from the
evidence- produced that more than Ten Thou
saud Dollars responsible buna fide subscrip
tions have been made tinder the provisions of
the 4th section of the act of General Assem
bly, entitled An act for Ihe erection of anew
county eat of part of L'nion to be called Say
dr.r, and relative the srst of justice of L'nion
Conwy," approved the 2d day of March, A 1)
1955, within the limits of L'nion county (as
divided) and also a bond given with sufficient
security to indemnify thelaxablcsof said conn
ty of l'nion from auy cost or tax for the pub
lic builuings and for carrying out all ihe pro
visions of the 3d and 4th sections of said act
in order to make the borouch of Leuii.-liur a
candidate for the seat of junccj therefore, we
do hereby approve of said Subscription and
Bond, aud order the same to be published the
second week of May, A U 1855. and continued
for three consecutive weeks in me "lnion
D.-mokrat," a newspaper published within the
county of Snyder, and also published at the
same time and tcr the same period in the
" Lewisburg Chronicle," a newspaper pub
lished wilhin the county of Union, and that
the borough of Lewisburg be named in said
publican? as a site for the seat cf justice in
