"I am in tho midst of bop-yards, hop-Boliticuns,hop-patr'oti8m,hop-tcmperance,

fields arc fragrant with Sevmouristn, and
incense goes up from every bale to the

staff reared to cast a shadow over hearts
and homes. Arouud thew rally a class of
spiriti who would wade .through blood and
over rotting dead and open graves to a good
market ! With feet crushing into living
hearts, they lift op the hop-yard banner
and rally against the inebriate and Lis wife
and children. Their families must be
clothed and fed on hop yard profits, tbough
their neighbors are robbed of food aiid

gospel of the golden rule, has nothing to
do with the hop-yard religion. They love
their neighbors, if they raise hops and go
for Seymour. When such men die, their
graves should be surrounded with stakes
of hop-poles : tbry will reach farther to

go. I'laiit hops on the turf that hides
them ! The creeping vines shall grow
rich and fat on their carrion, as they, in

they would haggle with angels about the

The gentleman had procecodel some

When he fannd a pair (he thinks they be

Young America's bin rouud tending to

putty good idea of who did it. Great
cheering and several hurrahs for Oman.

No t fellow-Americans, it was down in

after all, perhaps we've elected a pretty
good lot of fellows ; and that's some con

as the choice was between "lkonsou and
