bedy by a jury of twelve men, aud their
verdict was " that t-he came to her death
from malicious violence from botue peison
or persons unknown." The parties, were
no doubt, all intoxicated.
J.ydia Ann Williams, John ITaylcy,
(Irisb).and Joseph Derwinskey,(Po!ander)
were arrested as the participants in the mur
der, and after a bearing before Justice
liouud, were committed, on Monday morn
ing last, to the Jail of this county, for a
further hearing at the next term of our
Court. As there are various rumors in
relation to this affair, we forbear making
any further comments fur the present
The deceased, we learn, was from Centre
couuty, and Mary Ann Williams says f-he
is from Middlctowc, Pa. They met each
other at Jersey Shore, and were on their
wiy down the country. It appears that

of a hhawl, which Lydia had on when ar
