for which, Lis boen granted by Councils,

Westward, is 13 dills per 1,030 pounds
per mile ; the 1 iwest 3 mills. The average
an aesotcd cargo,would be about 8 mills.
The average ou I'roduce coming Eastward,
in about f;ur mills. The Pennsylvania
Kiilroad pay on first class merchandize,
f ir the whole distance of the road used by
them, 2 ceuts per 1,000 pounds.
