Agreeable to previous- notice, a large
portion of the citizens of Frcoburg aud
vicinity assembled in the school house, on
Monday evening, the 28th of February,
for the purpose of giving an expression of
opinion on the subject of building a new

pointed : ftvsilatt, Elias R. Mesgks.
Vice Presidents, Henry llilbinh, Usury 1

following resolutions were unanimously
J
ailopted : j
llesolved, That we view any action in
regard to building a Court House in New '
Berlin as useless, and dangerous to tho j
welfare of Uuion couuty, as the citizens
, . ,
here arc altogether opposed to the same,
and would oc viewed as an unjust act in j
those who would be tho means of bringing ;
this debt upon us. j

age of improvement, aud we all look to
our own interest. In regard to the moves
that have been made iu the north-eastern
part of our county, in favor of a uivisiou,
we will now heartily subscribe to, aud hope
that the day is not far distant wheu such
a re.-ult may be brought about.
That we deem it right to make known
our views in regard to the same, and hope
that some action will be taken by our
brethren who may be favorable to this
move, aud make their views kn jwu to the

That we are ready, and, with unanimous
