Suockj.no Accident. On Wednesday
the SUtb ult, a Mr. Smith of Seliusgrove,
and Daniel Ualer of Hartley Tp., were
hunting en the mountains a few miles
above Hartleton. Having killed a hue
deer, they started to go up higher, bearing
their game by a pole upon their shoulders,
Galer being iu advance, aud Smith trailing
Lis loaded rifle by bis side, when a twig
caught tbe trigger of Smith's rifle, and it
was fired, the ball entering Galur'n heart,
and he fell dead upon the Fpot. The dc-
ceased leaves a family. The anguish of
the survivor is altuoft insupportable. Car
rying fire-arms thus carelessly, especially
when in the couipauv of others, ia most
reprehensible.
Bt&.W could wish no antt-railrnad man
a worse pcuance than a ride to or from the
Junction, over tic present ahoiuiuable
roaJi, and under the "shocking bad " and
even diiHirroHt staging on that route. On
Tuesday night the stage broke down below
Liverpool, leaving the passengers to find
their way on foot to that place through
the darkness and mud ; and Thursday
morning the coach upset between Shanto
kiu Dam and Northumberland a thing
that it came within a hair's breadth of do
ing the niht before on the same spot.

there are not boarding places for Students
in Lewisburg. We tbitik it is an error.
Any one who will behave himself, be con

inquiry obtaiu a respectable boarding house.

most despair of the promised reformation.
