Congress. : ,
Washisotos, Dec. 14.
For the moment, there U a complete
dearth of atirring intelligence. Congress,
halls, and will halt, until the new year is
installed. There if nothing in the state of
our foreign relations to excite anxiety, and
the question of domestic embarrassment
which have heretofore so fearfully con
vulsed the public mind, are gradually and
satisfactorily regulating themselves, ll
the professing peace-makers, who are now
the ocTy real agitators, will allow the good
feiling which exists auioug moderate men
on all sides to be encouraged, there will
be no more collisions, and sectional strife
will perish for the want of fond.
