Union County.
AT a meeting of the Board of Commissioners
of Union Co., i'a., it was resolved thai all
Ui-payera paying to the Collectors of their respec
tive Districts, their quota of State TAX for the
present year on or before the 23 J day of July (so
as to enable the Slate to meet the August interest)
shall have an abatesext of 5 per cent allowed
them on the amount so paid, of which the Col
lectors of the several districts of Union county will
please take notice, and make their payments to
the County Treasurer on the above mentioned
day, when the Treasurer and Commissioners will
meet at their office iu New Berlin.

NEW STAGE LINE.
Fare from Mifflintown to Selins
grove Reduced.
ON and after June 25th, 1950, the fare
on the Singe Line of the subscribers
will be reduced to SI ,50. The coach w ill
leave Mifflintown on Tuesday and Friday
morning of each week at 7 o'clock, and
leave Selinsgrove at the same hour on
Wednesday and Saturday arrive at Mif
flintown in time for the evening train of
cars, and at Selinsgrove in time lor the
for the Packet. The coaches are new
wpre manufactured expressly for the route.

passengers. Persons on the Juniata wish-1
rng to reach the Susquhanna, or those on j
the Susquehanna wishing to reach the j
Juniata, can find no other route as cheap
and convenient, as there is no detention in
connecting with the cars and packet at the
ends of the route.
The same lineiwill run regularly from
Mifflintown to the Tuscarora Academy on
Monday and Thursday of each week, leav
ing Mifflintown at 6 in the morning and
returning in time for the eastern train of
cars. Fare 50 cents.

continues 27 weeks ; the latter commences on
tbe 16th May, and continues 15 weeks.
