Thy ferer'd brow !scold in detail,
Calm and sarene thy face;
Across thy cheeks a pallet:mu breath
Has marked its icy trace.

Hare often sought to soothe with bong
Thy grief so hard to bear:
But thou art gone far, far away,

With angel bands on high.

To lose a friend so true,
