Open to All.
INFORMATION —No entry fee will be
charged. No limit to the number of
dozens that may be entered by one per
son. Entries can be made by mail or in
person up to 5 o'clock, p. m., in Tuesday
September 2. 1919. Eggs sent by ex
press must be prepaid and should be ad
dressed to Bruee Wissinger, Superinten
dent of Poultry Department. All eggs
must be in place by 4 o'clock, T .esday,
September 2nd. All eggs must be call
ed for on or before 1 o'clock, p. m., Fri
day, September sth. Any remaining un
called for at that time will be consider
ed donated to the Children's Home and
will be turned over to the said institu
tion. Eggs may be shown in small bas
kets or any attractive package. No
entry may he made for the sweepstake
prize, as all eggs shown will be consid
ered by the judges for said prize. Prem
iums will be awarded by using the fol
lowing scale of points: Quality, 30;
Freshness 20; Size 20; Color 20; Shape
10. Under "Quality" the judges will
consider such things as color and condi
tion of yolk, density and firmness of al
bumen. thickness and clearness of shell,
etc. Th<j right is reserved to open one
or more eggs in each dozen. Under
"Freshness" it will be well not to wash
anv eggs, thus removing the bloom.
Under "Size" the judges will not con
sider double yoked eggs. "Color" and
"Shape" should be as uniform in any
one dozezn as possible.
