Alison Carr-Chellman first took her

Nutcracker” four years ago.
And this year, 7-year-old Aila will per
form in “A Central Pennsylvania
Nutcracker” along with her brothers.
The ballet will be performed at 7 p.m.
Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday in
Eisenhower Auditorium.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $2O for sen
iors and students and $l5 for children 12
and younger.
Carr-Chellman, department head and
professor of education, said she took her
daughter to the performance when the 3-
year-old showed an interest in ballet.
"I didn’t think she would make it
through the whole thing. I told my hus
band we would be back by intermission,"
she said.
Carr-Chellman said she and Aila sat in
the balcony and throughout the whole
performance. Aila danced and sang along
to the music.
"I was wrong. Aila made it through the
whole thing," Carr-Chellman said. "She
loved it."
