Last week’s hot weather left most of us
wondering if it was actually the first week of
fall. But that didn’t stop students from going
out in their fashionable outfits last Friday.
Aida Mekonnen (sophomore-economics)
was shopping in the Penn State University
Bookstore at the HUB-Robeson Center when
I spotted her Jay-Z concert T-shirt with a
vest, jeans and flip-flops.
Mekonnen said she bought the shirt at the
Jay-Z concert last year at the Bxyce Jordan
Center. The T-shirt had the image from his
current album, “The Blueprint 3.” Not only is
the album awesome, but so is her shirt

shirts are cool to begin with since they can be
conversation starters, but the smallest
accessory or clothing item paired with the
shirt can make a person stand out so much
more.
The vest did just that by bringing out the
red and gray in the Jay-Z T-shirt and her
dark blue Gap jeans were very trendy.
The red Old Navy flip-flops were a perfect
fit to the outfit since they matched the red
designs in her T-shirt
This outfit is perfect for going to class and
then meeting some Mends later for some fun
to end a somewhat stressful week for upcom
ing midterms and exams.
