HUB Galleries The Sidewalk
Artists Preview is being shown
in the HUB Gallery and
Browsing Gallery until July 12.
This exhibit gives the public a
chance to view the work of the
artists who have been selected
to display and sell their work at
this year's art festival. The
galleries are open Tuesday
through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
Art By Touch, exhibits done by
the blind and sight impaired,
are being shown in.the Art Alley
Panels and Cases until July 31.
Two additional exhibits are
being shown in the
Acheivements In Research and
Scholarship Exhibit Area,
which is across from the HUB
information desk. The first
exhibit is Meet Marietta Holley

(1836-1926), The Female Mark
Twain. The second exhibit
displays the drawings and
pottery of Anne Klein. Gallery
hours are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
daily. The HUB Galleries are
located on the first floor of the
HUB.
Museum of Art Benjamin
West drawings from the
Historical Society of
Pennsylvania will be exihibited
on the first floor galleries of the
museum this weekend. West,
who redefined artistic values of
the late 18th century, is
considered to be America's
first internationally renowed
artist. The exhibit includes 50
sketches and drawings from
1755 to 1820. Japanese Prints
and Ceramics: Selections from
the Museum's Collection can
be found on the 2nd floor of the
museum. Ceramics included •
are Raku ware, earthenware,
stoneware and porcelin. An
exhibition including over sixty
prints, drawings, photographs,
and paintings, representing
American artists of the 18th,
19th, and 20th centuries will be
displayed on the 3rd floor. The
exhibit, titled Redefining
American Values: Selections
from the Museum's Collection,
is designed to encourage
thinking about the Constitution
and constitutional values. All
exhibits can be viewed on
Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Pattee Library Fifteen
contemporary Japanese wood
prints from the library's Fine
Prints Collections, as well as
an 180 foot long scroll of 5
- R.P.S
color traditional wood cuts,
from the Rare Books Room of
the library are being diplayed in
the East Corridor Gallery until
July sth. The public can view
the exhibit this weekend on
Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 9 p.m.,
Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10
p.m.

Summerfest 'B7
Summerfest's last performance
of the season will feature free
entertainment at Holmes-
Foster Park, Sparks St., State
College. All are welcome
tomorrow afternoon from 2:30
to 5 p.m.
