Youngblood Heartthrob Rob Lowe is Dean Youngblood, an amateur hockey player trying make it big in the semi-pros on a team called The Hamilton Mustangs (you just can't lose with a name like that). Poor Rob Dad wants him to come back to the farm, his teammates hassle him for not being macho enough, and his landlady trys to seduce him. But when high team point-scorer Derek Sutton (Patrick Swayze) is put out of action, it's Youngblood's big chance to show his stuff. Tester exhibits serigraphs and drawings, and Nugent combines handmade paper, lithography and drawing to create collages and drawings HUB The Long Road Up the Hill: Blacks in the United States Congress, 1870-1983 opens tomorrow in the HUB Gallery. This exhibit, developed by.the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service for a two year national tour, features 15 photographic panels documenting the careers of America's black members of the U.S. Congress from the time of Hiran Revels to the present. Oil Portraiture, a collection of contemporary portraits by Barbara Gough Nuss, will be on display in the Art Alley Gallery. Joe Canh Q NGuyen, a student at the University, presents a collection of his drawings, watercolors and acrylics in Perception. This exhibit, on display in the Browsing Gallery, features realistic impressions drawn from the artist's memories, dreams and observations. Kern Sandy Williams, a member of the chemistry department at the University, exhibits a collection of her photographs. This display forms a visual diary of William's travel experiences in the area and around the United States over the past few years. Watercolor sketches and paintings by Christine Yen are also on display. In order to create her own unigue style, Yen has combined peaceful Chinese painting with a bold, highly-textured, Western influenced technique. In addition, works in fiber and weaving by Ann Stapelton are exhibited. Museum of Art Counterpoints: The Faculty Print Portfolio contains 25 black and white prints executed by the printmaking students at the UniverSity in a variety of techniques. This exhibition, organized by Robin Gibson, began as an opportunity for the students to act as professional printers by executing graphic works designed by experienced artists and represents the collaboration of many people. Selected artists from the Far East, Europe, and the United States explore the creative possibilities of a small scale format in The Second International Shoebox Sculpture Exhibition. This exhibition, featuring works no larger than the average .shoebox, includes pieces in metal, fabric, wood, paper, stone, and plastic.
