Penn State recently named Hachiro
Oishi, an internationally famous free
style, Greco-Roman, and sombo
wrestling technician, to an assistant
wrestling coaching position. He joins
Head Coach Rich Lorenzo and Assis
tant Coach John Fritz on the wres
tling coaching staff.
Oishi, 33, comes to Penn State after
a three-year career as an assistant
wrestling coach at North Carolina
State. He began his coaching career
as a graduate assistant at Cortland
State in 1977-79, became assistant
coach at North Carolina State the
next year, and moved on to the head
