Representatives from the University
colleges will meet students this weekend
at a program sponsored by the
Residential Life Programs of East
Halls.
“Major Decision Sunday” will give
students the opportunity to discuss
majors with representatives from each
University college. Hope Senger, RA for
first and second floor Brumbaugh, said
the program will have a format similar
to the college fairs held in high schools.
.. “It will be an informal atmosphere,”
she said, “Each college will have its own
table and bring information materials,
tapes and posters to put up. ”
The representatives will answer
questions on degree requirements, the
possibilities of getting into a major, and
•■the job outlook in specific fields. "The
1 representatives will be able to tell you
tj aboul the meat of the courses and what
•j is expected of you,” she said.
j “Students don't know exactly where to
go to get specific questions answered,"

a new major?
all on Sunday
Senger said. “We are trying to make
them aware of the options available to
them.”
The Division of Undergraduate
Studies, the Career Development and
Placement Center and the Graduate
School will also have representatives at
the program. “The program isn’t just
geared for freshmen and sophomores,”
she said. “It is also for juniors and
seniors who are considering grad
school.”
Major Decision Sunday is the brain
child of Senger and several other RAs in
East Halls. “There were a lot of
questions we would get from students
that we couldn’t answer,” she said.
“Hopefully, this will be a chance for
them to get the information they need.”
Senger said the colleges are en
thusiastic about the program. “When we
contacted them, they liked the idea,” she~
said. “They gave us no hassles at all and
supported the idea very well."
Major Decision Sunday' will be held
from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 18 in the FUB rec
room. Refreshments will be served.
