Rape trial evokes black protest
CULLMAN, Ala. (UPI) The first
witness in a rape trial against Tommy
Lee Hines, a retarded black man, said
Tuesday he was the man wearing a
green garbage bag mask who attacked
her in a railroad office last February.
Rosemary Harris, 21, told the all-white
jury she could see her assailant’s face
despite the bag and pointed to Hines
