The University administration will be mailing letters asking students, parents of students and. Penn State alumni to write letters to legislators requesting an end to the budget crisis. Monday's meeting will be the first SAB session open to the press and public. Oswald agreed last summer to allow the meetings to be opened if the board approved the move. The board voted last month to open the meetings and Oswald officially declared them public last , week. - Undergraduate Student Government president Grant Ackerman said he felt the meeting was scheduled too close•to the finals period for student leaders to attend.
