Warnke compromise offered WASHINGTON (UPI) Republican Sen. Robert Griffin . suggested yesterday that Paul Warnke should be given only one of the two arms control posts for which President Carter nominated him. Apparently offering a way for conservatives to accept Warnke, Griffin indicated he would be willing to accept him as director of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency if Carter named someone else as chief disarmament negotiator with the Russians.
