Mark Hayes, the quiet man
from Oklahoma, put together
a five under-par 66 and scored
his second victory of the
season yesterday in the rain
delayed windup of the Pen
sacola Open Golf Tour
nament, the last individual
event on the tour this year.
The soft-spoken Hayes, who
acquired his professional
title earlier this season in
the Byron Nelson Classic,
won this one by two strokes
with a 275 total nine under par

touchdown was negated, but Pittsburgh Steeler defensive
tackle John Banaszak is still celebrating his romp to tile end

"Hey, 20 years from now, nobody will remember it was

resurgent Steelers to a 23-0 victory over the San Diego

Last year Lock Haven was named the fifth*
best team in the nation. Over 1,000 spectators
crowded Pollock Field when the Eaglettes
visited Penn State. The outcome was a 2-0
victory for the visitors.
Eleven players are back from that team,
but there will be two notables missing from
the lineup this year. All-American halfback.
Ronnie. Lawson and goalie Cathy Sherma
will both be lost to graduation.
Penn State will still have to contend with
Kathy Ogle, a junior who has scored 15 goals
so far this season. Other threats are Sue
Bowers and Kim Pallestrone, who have
scored eight and seven goals, respectively.

Ursinus than Penn State, losing 3-2. Both
'teams beat East Stroudsburg 1-0, and
defeated Millersville. The Eaglettes were
upset earlier this season by Slippery Rock, 4-
2, a team which tied Penn State 1-1. -
The Lady Lions go into the match with a 4-
1-2 record.
