He has inspired new works for string bass by composers Hans Werner, Alec Wilder and Gunther Schuller. Karr and his keyboard part ner, David Harmon Lewis, are artists in residence at Dalhousie University where they have concentrated on researching and building up a repertoire. Each concert they give includes works that are new to them as well as music of the Baroque era. Tickets are on sale now at the HUB booth and the Univer sity Auditorium box office.
